Just about complete...

I'm excited to report that the carpet was FINALLY installed and Lil P's bedroom furniture was delivered. The kids rooms look just about perfect, I am very pleased with the end result. We still have valances/drapes to hang, but for the most part we are as done as done can get. Here are a few pictures of The Knight and Lil P clearing out the remaining things in the kids rooms and then the nearly finished product.
And here's the grand finale!!!
Although the whole process too a great deal of time and patience...it was all worth the wait!
::Kid Update::
Both kidos are doing fabulous! Lil P is working on potty training (we are taking it slowly so neither one of us gets too frustrated). She often asks to go potty, only to sit there for a while and then take off running pant less...but, it's a start:) The last two nights she's slept in her big girl bed, all night long!!! It takes The Knight and I a few tries to get her to actually fall asleep, but once she's out...she's out. This morning we had to wake her up so that we could take The Knight to the airport, and when I went in to get her I noticed something a little different. My child had one sandal on, one off laying in the bed and a random tennis shoe in the bed too. HILARIOUS!!! I guess she woke in the middle of the night and felt the need to put her shoes on, only to fall back asleep with only getting one on. She's a hoot!!!
Squirt is doing great too! We are officially 35 weeks, with my csection scheduled for July 16th...3 weeks and 6 days away...CRAZINESS! If Squirt is anything like me, he'll arrive earlier than July 16th. Nana was due with me on December 25th, scheduled the delivery for December 19th and I came on December 15th. BUT...if he's anything like Lil P, he'll wait until July 16th. Remember she was due on August 3rd, but she waited nearly another week to make her grand entrance! Either way I am ready to meet my son!!! I got back to the doctor this coming Friday and then we'll have weekly appointments from then on out. My sister is coming in town July 4th weekend to help me wash Squirt's clothing, bedding, bibs, blankets, etc. She did the same just before Lil P arrived, and it was a HUGE help. I'm very excited to see her. She might even be able to make it in town to go to the doctor with me, she'd love to hear Squirt's heartbeat!!!
Well that's it for now, enjoy your weekend and try to stay cool! Love, Momma P

A look on the inside...

For you all that know me well, you know I love (and actually thrive on) order, cleanliness, stability, schedules...you know, all the things that make me crazy=) Well, take a look on the inside of my home. It's been like this for nearly two weeks now...
Yes...that's what the house looks like on the inside!!! You are correct in thinking you saw a queen mattress set in the dining room and a four poster bed, night stand and dresser in the living room. Aren't I just a great decorator?! Well the real reason behind the chaos is that we are awaiting carpet to be installed in the kids rooms and TV room...carpet that was supposed to be installed over a week ago!!!! The carpet is now scheduled to be installed this coming Wednesday, but I will only believe it when I see it=) After the carpet is installed, we can then have Lil P's new furniture delivered and Squirts nursery set up!!!
We had the kids rooms painted the day after Memorial Day and both The Knight and I are extremely proud of the end result. Take a look...
Although we appear to be living in craziness right now, I am happy to report that we are on the right track to a great looking home for our soon to be family of FOUR!!!

Water Wonderland!

I've been contemplating purchasing Lil P a water table for a while now. Actually I've probably been thinking about one for close to a year since I saw one that my friend Family Girl bought for her oldest son Boosta. Lil P LOVES the water, both in a pool and a bath, so I thought "what the heck...what's one more toy." I went and picked one up this afternoon, assembled it all by myself (yay me!), and she's played with it now for over an hour and a half...guess it was a great purchase=)
About forty-five minutes into play, Lil P took a break with one of her favorite summer treats..."bobsickle". These popsicles are great! They are called Mighty Minis, they are just the right size and are slow to melt. My friend Lindsay introduced me to them a while back and we are now hooked!
Just when I thought this post was complete, this came around the corner of the house...(yes, I'm blogging from the back patio...it's wonderful!!!
AND then Lil P proceeded to move water from the water table to the pool with a plastic cup=) What a fantastic and very smart little girl The Knight and I have!!!

:: Memorial Day Weekend ::

We had a great Memorial Day weekend with our fantastic family and friends. On Friday, Lil P and I hit the road and headed to Owensboro, KY...home of many special family members. Lil P did extremely well on the car ride up and back, with only about an hour of meltdown time each trip. We spent some quality time with Nana and Granddaddy, my little brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmother, and great grandmother...yup, I still have a living great grandmother.
Mammaw Hazel will turn 97 years old on July 20th, so that's the day I'm hoping to deliver Squirt on. Wouldn't that be awesome?! No worries, I won't take any unnecessary medical risks to achieve that date, but it would be pretty cool! This is the lady that my mom, me, and Lil P get our extreme sweet tooth from. Look closely, that's a strawberry underneath that mound of sugar=) She's an amazing woman!!
On Saturday afternoon the whole family came over to my Aunt's house for some fun and barbecuing. Lil P and two of her cousins took full advantage of the sun and the slip and slide!
Lil P also had some much needed Nana and Granddaddy time...
Later Saturday afternoon we loaded up the family truckster and headed back home!
On Sunday we had a small cookout with some friends, and Lil P was able to get back in the water again! If you haven't guessed it yet, Lil P loves being outside and loves "wa wa" (water).
The Knight was our Grill Master for the afternoon, and I must say he did a fine job on my turkey burger. The tshirt he has on (which sadly you can't see the front) reads "The Man Behind The Belly". I gave him this shirt when I was pregnant with Lil P, and he pulled it out to wear this past weekend. What can I say, he's a proud Da Da. The rule about the shirt is that he can only wear it when I'm pregnant, and NEVER after the baby arrives=)
On Monday we grilled out and went swimming with our neighbors...we had a blast!!! We didn't take any pictures on Monday because we were all too busy playing in the pool=)
We had a great weekend, and I hope you did too!

Until next time...much love!
