We're still here!

Well Hello There!!!
It's been over a week and I haven't updated you all on our little family of FOUR!!! Yes, it's totally and completely official, The Knight and I are parents to two children under the age of two!
Things are going fantastic since we arrived home last Sunday, July 18th. Thus far, the following things are happening around our home.
  • Lil P is a wonderful, hands on big sister! She absolutely loves to be a part of everything that involves Squirt. She helps with diaper changes, baths, feedings, dressing and everything else in between. Yesterday was her 1st time holding Squirt, and she did a pretty fabulous job! Each morning she wakes up and the very 1st thing that she says to The Knight and I is "Where's baby?" She loves him so much.
  • Squirt has become more alert over the past few days, and he's eating and sleeping (most days) like a champ. He's been such a calm little guy since we brought him home...lets keep our fingers crossed that he's got The Knights temperament and not mine=)
  • Last Wednesday we had family pictures taken at a fabulous studio in town and we hope to preview the work early next week
  • Squirt has had his first real bath without his umbilical cord and he barely cried the entire time
  • Lil P's been going to daycare on a regular basis since Squirts been home. It's not only given me time to recover from surgery, but it's given The Knight and I time to bond with Squirt like we did with Lil P.
  • Squirt has visited Target, IHOP, Babies R Us and several other places and he's been great!
  • This Friday The Knight and I are taking Lil P to have her 2 yr check up and Squirt to have his 2 week check up...it's crazy how time has flown by us!!! You blink, and its' gone!
  • I've recovered from the csection wonderfully and feel great!! This time was much better than recovering with Lil P
Here are a few pictures of my little loves! You can always see a lot more on Facebook, so if you want to see more pictures send me a friend request if we haven't already.

Whirlwind of Emotions!

I have no other way to explain the state that I'm in this morning except that I'm surrounded by a whirlwind of emotions!!! I am SUPER excited that my little man has finally arrived and now I'm a momma of two little amazing beings. Squirt looks a lot like his big sister, but he's got my hair color and not his daddy's...let's hope it sticks around! He was born on Friday July 16th at 12:38pm, weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Outside of having a reoccurring low blood sugar, he's been perfect!! I'm attempting to nurse my little man, therefore he's not quite getting all he needs from me so we are also supplementing with formula until my milk fully comes in, likely within the next two days. Lil P hasn't been too sure of the hospital bed and room (she's ready to leave as soon as she gets her), but she does like her little brother so far. I can't wait to see how she interacts with him once we are home...hopefully this afternoon!!! Although I didn't think it was possible, I think I've fallen more in love with The Knight through this whole process...planning, pregnancy, delivery and the beginning to my recovery from surgery. He's been extremely helpful and patient with me...I couldn't asked for a better man! Our family is complete and I eagerly look forward to what the days, weeks and years have in store for us!!
Without further ado...I introduce you to squirt!!!
More great pictures to come...these are here to wet your appetite!!!
Much love!

Momma's little miracles!!!

What can I say...I'm an extremely proud momma! On Sunday, The Knight took several belly pictures of Squirt and I, and his big sister Lil P even joined in the fun (when she wanted too...of course). I posted a few of these on Facebook, but let's face it...there are some coworkers of mine that I have no desire for them to see my bare belly=) The pictures that include Lil P are my absolute favorite...because they are some of the first pictures of me with BOTH of my children. I can't believe Squirt will be here in THREE short days!!!
Much love!!! Please keep Squirt and I in your prayers on Friday=)

::A little off the top::

Lil P got her 1st haircut today, and I must say she did wonderfully!!! If you remember, she's been pretty much bald her entire life...so there was no need for a cut before now=) As her Aunt Jill would say she's had a "business in the front, party in the back" hairstyle for some time now! It was on the verge of being a mullet, therefore The Knight and I thought it was time to make the leap and get her 1st haircut. Lil P has a killer front cowlick just like I do, so there was NO WAY I was going to attempt the cut on my own. I'm still traumatized to this day with the crazy bangs my momma gave me growing up...don't worry momma, I still love ya! Lil P sat in my lap the entire time, and never fussed one time. She was a trooper!!!
The Knight and I are planning to take belly shots tomorrow...so stay tuned!!!

Down to the wire!

We are now officially Down to the Wire!!! With only 11 days until Squirt's arrival, we've been extremely busy getting things ready. My sister graciously came in town this weekend and worked ALL weekend getting the kids' room ready, Squirt's clothing washed and all the shopping done. We had an extremely busy weekend, but a fantastic weekend just the same!! I sure do love my sister and greatly appreciate all the help she has given me in preparation for Squirt's debut.
Take a look at Lil P's and Squirt's updated rooms...
Mickey Mouse is Squirt's first stuffed animal from his Da Da. If you remember, The Knight went to the Masters golf tournament and brought back Lil P her first stuffed animal, which was a brown bear in a green Master's outfit.
I am extremely happy with the way everything turned out! The rooms are perfect for my lil lady and lil man=)
Lil P is doing really well! She continues to talk all the time and has recently begun forming sentences in order to communicate what she wants.  Lil P is sleeping in her big girl bed MUCH better, generally only waking once a night just to check and see if we're still there. I'll go in her room and reassure her that we are still here and that we love her and she climbs back in bed and is off to sleep...Yay! It was about a 2 week battle, but one that I think we have just about conquered. She laughs and sings all the time, and has even begun to throw fits just like a child in her "terrible twos." For the most part The Knight and I ignore the tantrums and she loses interest really quickly. She's as close to perfect as can be!!!
Squirt is doing great and will be here in 11 days, or earlier if he has his choice. The past two weeks when I've gone to my doctor he's been measuring a week behind, but he grew between the two checkups so the doctor isn't concerned at all. He's moving and groving all the time! His heart rate has been between 130-150 and seems to be doing extremely well. One night last week he got the hiccups and they were such a weird feeling. This was the first time I noticed them with him and I never felt them with Lil P. The Knight was close enough that he too got to feel the weird movements...it was cool!
Before I leave you, let me share two more pictures...
Here Lil P is trying out the swing with one of her babies. She's playing with the swing and bouncy seat all the time...she'll be good and ready to pester her little brother=)
And here Lil P climbs on her horse to take a ride before lunch and nap time!!! Isn't that a sweet smile?!
Until next time...Much Love,
