"Halloween Dress-Up" Photo Challenge

This is my first entry into this photo challenge...it's kinda exciting! I absolutely love this picture (and this little girl)! It was freezing when I took this picture, that's why this adorable little bumble bee has a taboggan on! To see more adorable pictures take a look HERE.

When sharing isn't encouraged...

Lil P is hard headed already! I really wonder who she gets that trait from. Me? The Knight? Hummm...let's just think about this for a moment. Yup...it's definitely from her daddy!
The other day I gave her gold fish crackers...and she began to eat them. The Wonder Dog was very close, watching for any little tiny morsel to fall...

She looked as though she was going to begin "sharing" and I quickly said "No" to them both. Lil P got up, and walked into the kitchen...AND THEN...I found this...

She began to reach out to him...and he reached in for the taste! I had TOTALLY lost what little control I had! Before I know it...BAM...this happened

Moral of the post...it's hard to stop a girl and her puppy! These two are partners in crime=)

My sweet addiction...

If you haven't figured it out yet...I'm slightly addicted to my family, especially my precious Lil P and The Knight. Life isn't always chocolate and roses, but it sure is FABULOUS! I have been blessed with an amazing husband, who loves me despite all my flaws. I have also been blessed with an adorable little girl, who thinks I hung the moon. We are certainly far from perfect, but we do have quite a fantastic life!
Yesterday was a PERFECT day! Thanks to The Knight, I was able to sleep in until 10am. Wow, it really was amazing to wake up on my own instead of to a human or cell alarm clock. After waking and getting ready we rode out to the farm to spend some quality time with Paw and Granny. The weather was just amazing! We ate lunch and then spent the rest of our time outside playing and watching Lil P ride her new pony, Tator Tot. Once we got home later in the afternoon I decided to go out and plant tulip and daffodil bulbs. I am so excited because I planted 70 bulbs!!! I am planning for a colorful Spring, can you tell? My favorite flower is the tulip, and one of The Knight's mother's favorite flower was the daffodil. I am stoked for Spring!!!
Here are tons of pictures from yesterday...

Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Bzzzzzzzzzzzz... goes Lil P, the precious little bumble bee!!! Last night we went to the zoo for a FABULOUS Halloween festival. We had a great time with our friends Jason, Nicole, and Evan. The zoo was packed with really fun costumes. All the fun ideas make me excited for the numerous Halloweens to come=)
Here are several pictures from the night...

Fall is definitely in the air, and Halloween is just around the corner! Do you know what your children will be for Halloween?

Little Miss Smiles Alot!

What can I say, except...well...The Knight and I are truly blessed! We have a sweet angel baby, who loves to smile all the time. She really is precious! She has brought SO much love to our life, and I have to be honest Lil P makes me love The Knight even more (which I originally thought was impossible). It's so amazing how strong our marriage has become since we started raising our princess. Our life is certainly far from perfect, but definitely Beyond My Wildest Dreams! I always wanted to be married and have a family, but I never imagined being a wife and mother would be this beautiful. Life is hard, stressful, and confusing at times, but all things seem to calm when I have The Knight and Lil P in my arms.
Lil P adores this little kitty her Aunt Jill and cousin B bought her...just look at her loving on it! P-R-E-C-I-O-U-S=)

This evening after we got home from work, and before it got too cool we all went outside to enjoy a Fall evening. It was great! Lil P ran around the patio, while The Knight was in hot pursuit of a great picture. I tend to forget how easy it was to take pictures of Lil P just six short months ago...not it's quite a challenge!

Look at that wonderful smile...awww, it makes me SO proud!

I told you the other day that Lil P has learned how to unlock mine and The Knight's iPhones. Here's your proof...

Gotta run, much love!

Hanging Around

We've had a fabulous weekend, and the good part is...it's not over yet!!! Yesterday we hung around the house, I got my nails done, we went to church and then went to Chad and Jenn's house for Game Night and homemade pizzas! Lil P was quite photogenic yesterday, so I thought I'd grab a few cute pictures just for YOU!

Lil P LOVES her new purple pumpkin that her Nana insisted she have. Well Nana actually said she really needed a plastic pumpkin to carry around, and well let's just say purple was the best one I could find at Walmart, other options were bright blue and neon green. Who knew orange pumpkins would be such a hard thing to find in October:)

Lil P enjoys "talking" on the phone, or listening and smiling to whoever's on the other end of the conversation. Here she's talking to her Nana, I think they were talking about the upcoming Halloween plans. Yesterday Lil P learned how to unlock our iPhones. Are you kidding me?!?! A 14 month old has figured out how to unlock a cell phone...oh goodness she's sure growing up!

Lil P plays in her kitchen all the time! Now if I could just convince her not to lick the spoon and put it back in the pan:) Oh well, baby germs are harmless...right?!

I simply love pictures of Lil P looking out the window..she's just so dang adorable. Wouldn't you agree?! And that smile is just so irresistible!

As yucky as it is, Lil P loves sharing the dog bed with The Wonder Dog. Here they both sit watching cartoons yesterday morning. We are trying to teach "easy" when she's petting him, but let's face it...nothing too gentle when it comes to one year olds!

Halloween is just around the corner, and Lil P and I are gearing up in style. We've got her costume bought, candy in the pumpkin jar, and a cute little centerpiece on the kitchen table.

Only 20 more days until Halloween!

Back in Action!

Hey Everyone...we are back in action, with just a little twist or two! I'm so excited to be back sharing with you all in a bit "safer" environment. I say "safer" because I am going to do everything I can to protect my little family, starting with keeping our names and location a secret. It's gonna be an adjustment for us all, but it'll be best...I promise! From now on (if I can remember) I'll be Momma P, my husband will be The Knight, and our AMAZING little girl will be Lil P...since we all know her by that name already =)

Let me catch you up on all the super cool things Lil P is doing these days

  • Popping teeth out everywhere...we are up to seven
  • Chooses to walk instead of crawl...she's EVERYWHERE
  • Uses baby sign language for "please" and "more"
  • Laughs constantly
  • Blows kisses goodbye, while saying "bye"
  • Give special kisses (which include a quick lick) to anyone that'll accept one
  • Eats anything and everything...absolutely LOVES drinking milk (we are still staying away from eggs, nuts, and fish)
  • Says da-da-da-da-da...ALL the time, only pausing to say ma-ma when she's in hurting or sad
  • Does fantastic at school, and is still one of her teachers favorite children
  • Loves to be on Skype "talking" to Nana, Granddaddy, Aunt Jill and her cousins, and Gincha and Dave
Now...on to the good stuff...pictures of Lil P

Baby Sign Language for "more"

Baby Sign Language for "please"

Lil P received a Jack in the Box from her friend Ann, and boy does she love it. She can't quite get the hang of moving the wand/turner...but she loves when it pops open!

Lil P also really enjoys riding her cousins' horse, that they let her borrow because they are big girls now=)

And here's a sweet picture, taken just this evening, of Lil P walking down the sidewalk with two of her best friends...even if they are years older than her.

I hope you enjoyed our "Catch Up" blog post...I know it's been WAY too long for many of you!

Love ya,
Momma P
